Visit

The Carpenter Center is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

While our iconic concrete building is difficult to miss among the surrounding brick architecture, our entrances can be hard to find. Enter by going up the ramp from Quincy Street, arriving at our Level 3 Gallery, or you may go down the steps from Quincy Street, entering by the poster kiosk at our Level 1 Gallery.

Public Transportation
The Carpenter Center is on the east perimeter of the Harvard University campus and east of the Harvard Square Red Line T stop. It is located between the Harvard Art Museums and Harvard Faculty Club, one block north of Massachusetts Avenue, at 24 Quincy Street in Cambridge.

Parking
Limited metered street parking is available on both Quincy Street and Broadway. Parking garages are available around Harvard Square.

Tours

Exhibition and building tours of the Carpenter Center may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. We are expanding our building tour availability, so check back soon!

Bookshop

At our Bookshop on Level 3, you will find Carpenter Center original publications and tote bags, as well as books related to our current exhibitions. Visit us in person and online.
