Jessica Rankin: Open Seminar
Jessica Rankin is an Australian artist who lives and works in New York. Past solo exhibitions include PS1 Contemporary Arts Center, New York and The White Cube, London. Recent shows from 2016 are Field of Mars at the Anna Schwartz Gallery in Melbourne, Australia, EARTHFOLD at the Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens in Belgium, and Field of Mars at carlier | gebauer in Berlin. Rankin's subversive mode of organdy embroidery interweaves textual, topographical, personal, and universal exposures into translucent maps of communication. She discusses her practice for the Open Seminar.
