This is a photo of an alternate, side-view of the multi-part installation Seeping, Rotting, Resting, Weeping, 2021 by Candice Lin. The artist has batiked the indigo dyed cotton panels with images of cats and mirrored patterns of flora. The side edges of the roof panels are decorated with multi-colored faces masks made from patches of the same indigo-dyed cotton and red and yellow fabric. Totem poles of multi-armed and multi-breasted fertility figures flank the left and right sides of the tent. The floor underneath the tent is covered by white and gold carpets with unique designs of cat guardians and other mystical figures of the artist’s imagination. Ceramic cat shaped pillows sit sporadically. Visitors are encouraged to lay on these pillows or sit under the tent. One panel of the batiked dyed cotton panels is hung on the wall behind the tent structure, Seeping, Rotting, Resting, Weeping, 2021. A still from the projected video Millifree Work Weary ™Free Video (QiGong) is partially visible on the right side of the panel.
