Jacques the fatalist and his master
Jacques the fatalist and his master (rehearsals)
What were their names?
What do you care?
Where were they going?
Does anybody ever know where they’re going?
In this vibrant adaptation of Denis Diderot’s classic story about storytelling, the first piece of its kind to be mounted in Harvard’s Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, a determined Director struggles to tell the Audience the story of Jacques and his master — an unlikely and inseparable duo swapping stories of love, lust, and rivalry on their madcap journey through the French countryside. Actors will immerse audiences in a world of comedy and adventure through traditional acting, improvisation, music, dance, puppetry, and more.
Organized by students of the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club.
