Matt Keegan: Replicate
Oct 19, 2017–Jan 7, 2018
Reception: Thu, Oct 19, 5–8 pm
Matt Keegan’s exhibition at the Carpenter Center continues his long-standing exploration of language, materials, and identity formation. Replicate, Keegan’s first institutional solo presentation in the US, includes his recent video, Generation (2016), alongside sculpture, and two new site specific commissions—a hanging textile and a cardboard-lattice work made in response to the Sert Gallery space.

We Just Fit, You and I
Michelle Lopez, Sondra Perry, Pamela Rosenkranz, and Michael E. Smith
Oct 19, 2017–Jan 7, 2018
Reception: Thu, Oct 19, 6–8 pm
Levels 0 + 1
A group exhibition that addresses the expanding category of ‘living’ through a series of architecturally-sensitive installations. Underscoring the corporeal metaphors within the Carpenter Center’s own Le Corbusier-designed building, the featured projects in We Just Fit employ sound, video, sculpture, and scent to redefine what constitutes bodily presence.
